“A revolution in TPS”

You probably read the first edition of this seminal manufacturing text when it came out in 2004. It’s one of the best guides to the Toyota Production System ever written.

But the manufacturing world has seen a lot of change in the last 17 years. Author Dr. Jeffrey Liker decided to completely revisit “The Toyota Way” in the context of Industry 4.0. Has new technology emerged to complement or improve this 70-year-old management philosophy?

The answer is yes. As you can read starting on page 172, few Industry 4.0 technologies seem to excite Dr. Liker more than Drishti.
